Guy holds the Diploma in Financial Planning, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and the Certificate in Equity Release, all from the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Guy has almost 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry, originally starting as an executive pension administrator, before becoming a pension technical analyst and then a compliance auditor. Guy became an independent financial advisor in 2006 and worked for a large broker in the west country, before joining the Throgmorton team.
Guy specialises in helping clients in their life journey, leading up to and including retirement. Guy’s approach focuses on taking a holistic approach to wealth planning that involves tax efficient investment analysis, Inheritance Tax mitigation strategies and family wealth protection. He says that he gets “no greater satisfaction than when I’m assisting my clients to make their hopes and dreams become a reality!”
Guy lives with his partner, their two daughters, two granddaughters and his grandson. When not working Guy enjoys cycling and is an enthusiastic Rugby fan (Bath Rugby Club) and American football supporter. His hobbies include reading, history, languages, and miniature wargames.
